Festival of Community Television

The fourth Community TV festival will be held on June 12th and 13th 2015 in Cork County Hall.

This free two day event will discuss and showcase Community Television in Ireland.

It includes:

– A Seminar on a National Community Television Channel

– A Workshop on using and Creating media within your organisation.

– Screenings of Community Television programmes made in Ireland.

Festival of Community Television 2014

The third community TV festival was held on June 13th and 14th 2014 in Cork County Hall.
It was a very successful event that discussed and showcased Community Television in Ireland.

It included:
– a Seminar on the Future of Community Television in Ireland;
– a workshop on the links between Community Television and Community Development;
– a technical workshop;
– screenings of community television programmes made in Ireland.

The festival is organised by Cork Community Television with the support of the Community Television Association, the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland, Cork City Council & Cork County Council.

 

 

Festival of Community Television 2014

This year of the Festival of Community Television is on the move and will be hosted by Cork Community Television in Cork City.

The festival will take place in Cork County hall on Friday June 13th and Saturday June 14th 2014.

The idea of the festival is to provide a space for people involved in Community Television to discuss projects and skill share and watch Community TV.

Festival of Community Television 2013

This is the second year of the Festival of Community Television . The idea of the festival is to provide a space for people to get involved in Community Television here in Ireland and for programme producers to discuss projects and skill share .

We will also be running workshops on “Citywide” DCTV’s volunteer production team that have produced over three hundred videos in a year , the Dublin premier by frameworks Cork of a documentary called “Tadhg Barry” and a premier by volunteer production crew The Live Register plus craft beer and food .

 

This is all taking place in the Ireland Institute, The Pearse Centre,

27 Pearse Street, Dublin 2 .

 

Timetable for each day is below :

Friday 26th

11am – 1pm – CTA Internal Meeting

1pm – 2pm – Lunch

2.30pm – Citywide – Volunteer Production Models

5pm – Tadhg Barry – Dublin Film Premiere

6.30pm – DCTV’s Autumn Schedule launch and social

 

Saturday 27th

11am – Workshop on Quality in Community Television production

10am – 6pm – Community Television TV broadcasts – All day programme screenings (Theatre Space)

1pm – Lunch

2pm – Workshop

6pm – Dinner

7pm – Premier of the Live Registers docum
